ARTIST T-SHIRTS
July 23 – August 15, 1984
ARTIST T-SHIRTS, a collection of twenty artists' designs made especially for t-shirts, will be exhibited at the Feldman Gallery through August 15th.
Conceived by WilliWear president Laurie Mallet and designer Willi Smith in conjunction with Ronald Feldman, ARTIST T-SHIRTS combines provocative art and the basic t-shirt. The worlds of fashion and art unite in a manner that integrates poetry, social issues, politics, and esthetics with the clothing we wear. A broad range of visual styles is represented, and the exhibition will include both the t-shirts and the original art created for this project.
Participating artists are: Ida Applebroog, Arman, Christo, Dondi, Dan Friedman, Futura, Keith Haring and LA II, Lynn Hershman, Jenny Holzer, Barbara Kruger, Les Levine, Soozun Pitt, Edwin Schlossberg, Jose Garcia Severo, Todd Siler, SITE, Kim Steele, David Stolz, Stewart Wilson, and Zephyr.
